The Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation, the 4 Troy Foundation and Delaware Live Sports have teamed up to raise  awareness of Childhood Cancer this fall. On Friday, October 29, 2021 Delaware Live Sports will livestream three  high school football games throughout the state to help raise awareness towards childhood cancer.

The First Annual “4Troy / B+ Games” will feature the follow contests:

Smyrna vs Salesianum

Cape Henlopen vs Appoquinimink (moved to Thursday October 28th)

Lake Forest vs Woodbridge

The Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation was born out of tragedy after Salesianum School athlete and “A” student, Andrew McDonough, passed away from complications of leukemia on July 14, 2007, at the age of fourteen.  Andrew’s blood type and the family’s motto was, and continues to be, “B+” – Be Positive. The overall goal of  The B+ Foundation is to “Do Good.”

The 4Troy Foundation honors former Woodbridge High School student/athlete Troy Haynes. Troy was a kind,  compassionate, athletic teenager with big-time aspirations and dreams. Troy was a kind, compassionate, athletic  teenager with big-time aspirations and dreams. He was an all-state quarterback and was equally as successful in the  classroom, maintaining a 3.4 GPA during high school. Troy passed away on September 29, 2019 after a battle with  Renal Medullary Carcinoma, just a week after his 19th birthday.

Though his passing left heavy hearts, his legacy of leadership, scholarship, athleticism, positivity, and that award winning smile resonated loudly throughout the Woodbridge community and the entire State of Delaware and  encouraged us all to #FightLike4!

Childhood cancer affects many families throughout the United States. 46 children are diagnosed with childhood  cancer each day, 49 children die each week from cancer.

Through raising awareness the goal of these two foundations is to sponsor research to find cures for childhood  cancers and improve treatment options, provide financial assistance to families of children with cancer around the  country, advocate for increased research funds as well as improve the lives of those impacted by and increase  awareness of childhood cancer.

The B+ and 4Troy Foundations will be holding several fundraising opportunities leading up to the games including  a silent auction.
