World Trade Center Delaware President Carla Stone will help deliver recommendations for improving exporting and international trade for small businesses at next week’s U.S. Export-Import Bank (EXIM) annual conference, taking place June 6-7 in Washington, D.C.

Stone sits on EXIM’s Council on Small Business, an advisory group which has been meeting over the last year to fine-tune ways that EXIM can improve its programs and services for small business. In Delaware, there are 93,000 small businesses employing 195,000 workers, according to the U.S. Small Business Administration.

In 2023, EXIM President Reta Jo Lewis awarded the Regional Export Promotion Program (REPP) Member of the Year 2023 Award to World Trade Center Delaware, recognizing its work collaborating with and supporting Delaware exporters through EXIM financing.

On June 13, WTC Delaware will present its annual EXIM training, this year focusing on reaching financial institutions that service small businesses – “The Ins and Outs of International Banking Services for Regional and Community Banks.”
