ChristianaCare’s Union Hospital transformed into the Hundred Acre Wood for a community baby shower on December 14.
New and expectant moms were treated to Winnie the Pooh-themed desserts and decorations, as well as refreshments from local vendors.
They also received diapers, baby necessities, books and resources to connect them to local community organizations.
ChristianaCare nurses shared expert guidelines on how baby safety and educational materials on pregnancy and care for infants and toddlers.
ChristianaCare’s caregivers planned the special event and welcomed families to a little piece of the Hundred Acre Wood to get them off to a good start.
As Pooh said: “Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart.”
