Suspending planned lane closures

The Delaware Department of Transportation has announced that it will suspend planned lane closures on I-95, Route 1, US 13, and US 113 to minimize the effect on holiday traffic.

The closed lanes will be reopened beginning at 12 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 23 and will remain open until 12:01 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 26.

Traffic accidents and other unpredictable types of transportation incidents may cause delays and/or lane closures along major roadways, DelDOT said in a press release.

Construction-related lane closures on major roadways will also be suspended beginning at 12 p.m. on Thursday, Dec 30, 2021 until 12:01 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 2, 2022.
