Tower Hill wins 5th golf title as Sussex Academy’s Lydic wins individual

Tower Hill was able to win their fifth team championship with a score of 533 holding off Tatnall by a four stroke margin as the runner up scored a 537. The Hillers were led by Rylie Heflin who shot +3 over par while finishing second overall for the individual championship. Heflin was joined in the top ten individual rankings by her teammates Avery McCrery who finished 5th with a score of +7 and Henry Stone who finished 10th overall with a score of +13.

Sussex Academy freshman Sarah Lydic was the overall individual state champion with a final score of -1 under par. She was the lone golfer to shoot under par for the tournament. Lydic used 8 birdies to help her win her first state championship with 5 of them coming in round one then adding 3 more on the final day in round two. Sarah becomes the fifth straight female golfer to win the individual state championship.
