WILMINGTON — The national tour of Mrs. Doubtfire, the hit musical based on the beloved 1993 film, is coming to The Playhouse on Rodney Square for a three-day run this September.

Mrs. Doubtfire follows the story of Daniel Hillard, an out-of-work actor who, after losing custody of his children in a difficult divorce, disguises himself as a Scottish nanny to remain a part of their lives. What begins as a desperate plan soon blossoms into something deeper, as the character of Euphegenia Doubtfire teaches Daniel unexpected lessons about fatherhood, family, and what it really means to show up for the ones you love.
