M. Davis & Sons, Inc., a leading woman-owned, fifth-generation industrial construction company
operating across multiple facilities in the Mid-Atlantic region, proudly announces the appointment of Michael A.
Gilmartin as President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) effective January 25, 2024.
Holding the position of CFO in 2015, Gilmartin brings 25 years of extensive experience in the contracting and
construction industry to his new role. In addition to maintaining his current responsibilities as CFO, Gilmartin will
now oversee strategic presidential duties, contributing to the continued success and growth of M. Davis & Sons,
Inc.
John C. Gooden, the former President, will continue to play a pivotal role as Chief Operating Officer (COO),
ensuring a seamless transition and providing continued leadership. “Mike has guided M. Davis through some of
the most tumultuous financial times, including the pandemic,” stated John. “I trust that he will bring the same
grit and tenacity to the role of President and continue the legacy of success and innovation for which M. Davis is
known.”

Gilmartin holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and has augmented his qualifications through strategic
courses at The Wharton School, The University of Pennsylvania. He has also completed project management and
leadership training through Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) and the Construction Financial
Management Association (CFMA).
