Vice President Alison Boord White has been promoted to
Provost/Vice President for Academic Affairs.

White will continue to oversee academic affairs, faculty and curricula, the Hirons Library and Learning Center and the Office of Institutional Research and Training. In her new position, White will assume responsibility for the Registrar and student advising as well as retention and support.
A longtime employee of GBC, White holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in American Studies from the University of Delaware and a Master of Business Administration Degree with a Concentration in Human Resource Management from GBC.
Professor Joel D. Worden has been promoted to
Associate Provost for Academic Programs.

PDr. Worden will support the Provost/Vice President for Academic Affairs in the creation, implementation, assessment and expansion of academic programs designed to support student learning and student success including programs resulting from the College’s Strategic Plan.
In his new position, Dr. Worden will oversee academic advising, explore new opportunities for academic offerings and ensure the College’s continued success in assessment and accreditation.
Employed with GBC since 2005, Dr. Worden holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Houghton College. He holds a Master of Arts Degree in English and a Ph.D. in English, both from the University of Delaware.
