Join the Delaware Genealogical Society on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 10:00 am for a webinar about the history and evolution of almshouses, orphanages, and reform schools in the US from the 18th through 20th centuries.

Mike Miscoski, President, Delaware Genealogical Society, will talk about poorhouses, indenture, congregate institutions, orphan trains, and the ASPCA. He’ll explain the difference between outdoor vs. indoor assistance and the advancement of children’s rights into the Progressive era. Also included will be some real genealogical research discoveries at such institutions, some genealogy tips, Delaware institutions, and some pictures of his favorite waifs.
