Avelo Airlines will expand its service at Wilmington International Airport (ILM) with two new nonstop routes: Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, and West Palm Beach, Florida.
The airline is the only carrier offering nonstop service from ILM to both destinations.
Service to West Palm Beach will begin November 20, 2025, operating twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays. Flights to Punta Cana will begin December 24, 2025, with service on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
The new flights bring Avelo’s total destinations from ILM to 17. Since launching service in Wilmington in June 2022, the airline has carried more than 480,000 customers on nearly 4,000 flights. Avelo established a crew base at ILM in April 2025, with two Boeing Next-Generation 737 aircraft based at the airport.
