Haunted St. Patrick’s Day event canceled in Milford

Milford St. Patrick's haunted alley

Mike Perfetti and Delaware Branding Co. in Milford have canceled plans for a Haunted St. Patrick’s Day stroll in the alley next to his Milford tattoo store.

In a post on the Delaware Branding Co. Facebook page, Perfetti said the event had been used to pit his business against Downtown Milford Inc., where his wife, Cat Perfetti, is the acting executive director.

DMI usually hosts the St. Patrick’s Day pub crawl in Milford. When it was canceled because of COVID-19 restrictions, Perfetti was spurred to create the idea of the haunted alley.

“DMI has canceled its events, more specifically the Pub Crawl, due to restrictions that we at DBC don’t have,” Perfetti wrote on the company webpage. “What we had planned was basically trick or treating.”

Because of the perception problems caused for his wife and DMI, Perfetti chose to cancel the haunted alley.

“No good deed goes unpunished,” he wrote.
