Lanes of US 9 and Interstate 295 will be closed overnight next week for deck patching, the Delaware River and Bay Authority and Delaware Department of Transportation have planned.

And the project to rebuild Delaware’s busiest interchange continues next week with more ramp closures to allow for demolition of the Del. 141 bridge over I-95, DelDOT said.

On Tuesday night, those traveling from Wilmington to New Jersey or from New Jersey to Newark will hit both construction projects.

The lane closures will run from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., starting Tuesday evening and ending Friday morning, depending on the weather.

At all times, one lane will remain open for traffic.

The work affects US 9 northbound over I-295 northbound (right lane closed); I-295 southbound over US 13 southbound (right lane closed); and I-295 northbound over US 13 northbound (left lane closed on the right side of the dividing wall).

The bridge demolition is planned from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Monday and Tuesday nights on Exit 5A of I-95 southbound to Del. 141 southbound and Exit 3B of Del. 141 northbound to I-95 southbound.

Traffic on I-95 southbound will take the ramp to Del. 141 northbound and take the ramp to Del. 4 and continue straight onto Marshall Street, turn left onto Del. 4/Justis Street and turn left onto James Street, turn left onto Del. 4/Market Street and take the ramp to Del. 141 southbound.

Traffic on Route 141 northbound will take the ramp to Del. 4 and continue straight onto Marshall Street and turn left onto Del. 4/Justis Street and turn left onto James Street. Turn left onto eastbound Del. 4/Market Street and take the ramp to Del. 141 southbound and take the ramp to I-95 southbound.
