Former boyfriend charged in Newark teen’s homicide

  Madison Sparrow’s former boyfriend has been charged with her murder, Delaware State Police said today. Noah M. Sharp, a 19-year-old from Newark, was taken into custody and charged with three felonies: murder first degree, possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony and conspiracy first degree. Madison, a 17-year-old from Newark, was last seen Friday afternoon and was reported missing Friday evening. Police said that after the homicide occurred, her body was transported to a secluded wooded location in Newark, where law enforcement officers discovered it. Sharp was arraigned in the Justice of the Peace Court 2 and committed to Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on a $1,021,000.00 cash bail. “At this time, there is information indicating additional individuals may be involved in this homicide,” police said.
