Troopers investigate hate crime

The Delaware State Police are currently investigating a Criminal Trespass/Hate Crime  complaint that occurred within the Holly View Mobile Home Park, Seaford , De.

The incident occurred on Friday, June 26, 2020 between the hours of 04:20 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.  Upon arrival at the victims residence, Troopers met with a 59 year old black male victim who reported an unknown suspect trespassed onto his property while the victim was at work and tied a small white cord crafted in the way of a noose on his front step railing.

Initial interviews with neighbors in the area have not led to any potential suspects currently.  A DSP Detective has been assigned to further investigate this pending case.  There is no known suspect information at this time.
