On June 20, 2016 the Milford Police arrested and charged an 18yo Greenwood man stemming from a Robbery and Assault that occurred at a residence located in Brightway Commons Apartment Complex. Daniel J. Elliot was charged with Robbery 1st Degree, Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Felony, Conspiracy 2nd Degree and Assault 3rd Degree. According to police, investigation revealed that on June 19, 2016 at approx. 3:30 am, Elliot knocked on the door of the 49yo male victim’s residence and was let in by the victim due to the victim being familiar with Elliot. As the two began to talk, the victim turned his back on Elliot in order to look inside of his refrigerator and provide Elliot with a beverage. At this time, Elliot struck the victim in the back of the head with a metal cane. Elliot then began punching the victim. A short time later, Elliot allowed another unknown male into the residence of the victim. Both Elliot and the unknown male then removed the victim’s property from the residence and fled. The victim was transported to the Milford Bayhealth Hospital where he was treated for injuries to his head and torso, and later released. Elliot was arraigned and committed to SCI in default of $21,500.00 secured bond.
