Striking 6yo Child while Fleeing Department Store

On June 7, 2016 the Milford Police arrested and charged a 27yo Bridgeville man in connection with an incident that occurred at Walmart Department Store on May 1, 2016. Cameron J. Calvert was charged with Reckless Endangering 2nd Degree, Use of a Illegitimate Retail Sales Receipt (2 counts), Conspiracy 3rd Degree, Offensive Touching and Disorderly Conduct. Police state that investigation revealed that on May 1, 2016, Calvert responded to Walmart Department Store, removed merchandise for the shelf and attempted to return the merchandise while using an old sales receipt. Calvert was then contacted by store employees about the transaction. Calvert then attempted to flee the store on foot. As Calvert was exiting the store he struck a 6yo child, knocking the child to the ground. Calvert continued on out the store. Calvert later got into a vehicle along with another unknown suspect and fled the area prior to police arrival. The 6yo child did not suffer any injuries. Calvert was apprehended by the Dover Police on 6/7/16 and turned over to the Milford Police Department. Calvert was arraigned and released on an $4,000.00 unsecured bond.
