Reconstruction will close Marshall Street

Pavement Reconstruction Project Will Require the Closure of Marshall Street

Milford: The Department of Transportation (DelDOT) announces that a pavement reconstruction project will require the closure of Marshall Street between Johnson Road and Elks Lodge Road in Milford. The closure is scheduled for 7 a.m. on Monday, June 13 until 5 p.m. on Thursday, June 23, pending weather.

Detour Routes:

Northbound: Johnson Road onto Wilkins Road to Elks Lodge Road and return to Marshall Street.

Southbound: Elks Lodge Road to Wilkins Road onto Johnson Road

Detour signage will be posted for motorists.

The reconstruction project, which is a full depth reclamation process, rebuilds worn out asphalt pavement by recycling the existing roadway. The old asphalt and base materials are pulverized, mixed with cement and water, and compacted to produce a strong durable base for either an asphalt or concrete surface. Full depth reclamation is an environmental friendly process.
