On May 14, 2016 at approx. 7:30 pm the Milford Police Drugs, Vice, and Organized Crime Unit along with the Milford Police Criminal Division executed a search warrant at a residence located at the double digit block S. Walnut St., at Norman Apartments. Police state that detectives seized over 1,200 rounds of stolen .223 rifle ammunition, and other stolen property related to a recent burglary that occurred on May 8, 2016. Detectives also seized several bags of heroin and marijuana. Detectives arrested and charged Jimmy F. Artis, 28yo of Milford, with Burglary 3rd degree, Theft $1500.00 or Greater and Possession of Burglar Tools stemming from the Burglary on 5/8/16 at a residence located in the 100 block of Mccolley St. At the conclusion of the search warrant, Artis was also charged with Possession of Heroin within 300 feet of a Park, Possession of Marijuana within 300 feet of a park, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Detectives also arrested and charged Deborah D. Crump, 27yo of Milford, with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Criminal Impersonation. While at the residence, Crump provided officers with a false name and presented a false identification card. Both Crump and Artis were also wanted on an active capias out of Sussex County Court of Common Pleas. Artis was arraigned and was released on $9,400.00 unsecured bond. Crump was arraigned and committed to WCI in default of $701.00 cash bond.
