On December 6, 2015 the Milford Police responded to a residence located in the double digit block of Lynch Rd in order to make contact James J. Cuevas Jr., 30yo of Milford. Cuevas was wanted by the Milford Police stemming from a felony theft that occurred at the Walmart Department store on December 1, 2015. Police state that the investigation revealed that Cuevas, removed the purse of the 73yo female victim from her shopping cart and then fled from the store. Cuevas was also wanted for questioning by the Milford Police in connection with an Armed Robbery at a local business. When the police arrived at the residence, Cuevas initially refused to exit the residence. The Delaware State Police also responded to the residence to provide assistance. Further investigation revealed that Cuevas had also been involved in a domestic dispute and injured a female victim. After a short period of time, Cuevas exited the residence and was taken into custody. Cuevas was charged by the Milford Police with Felony Theft Under $1500 victim 62yo or Older. Cuevas was also charged by the Delaware State Police with domestic related charges. Cuevas was arraigned and committed to JTVCC in default of $29,250.00 secured bond.
