On November 9, 2015 the Milford Police arrested and charged a 68yo Felton man in connection with an incident that occurred on the night November 1, 2015, on the roadway, in the 1100 block of S. Dupont Highway. Linwood Lewis was charged with Reckless Endangering 1st Degree (3 counts), Assault 3rd Degree (3 counts) and Felony Criminal Mischief Over $5,000.00. On the night of November 1, 2015, the Milford Police responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident in which the motor vehicle had overturned and two of the occupants were still trapped inside the vehicle. Upon arriving, the Milford Police, the Carlisle Fire Department and other local fire departments were able to remove the two trapped occupants from the vehicle and discovered that there was a total of 4 occupants in the vehicle at the time of the accident. Police state that further investigation revealed that Lewis was one of the two occupants that exited the vehicle after the accident but was still at the scene. Further investigation revealed that Lewis was seated in the front passenger seat inside the vehicle. Without warning, and for unknown reasons, Lewis grabbed the steering and began struggling with the driver of the vehicle while the vehicle was in motion traveling on the highway. The driver then lost control of the vehicle and causing the vehicle to exit the roadway, spin and then overturn. Lewis, the 51yo male, the 50yo female and the 47yo female all suffered non-life threatening injuries as a result of the accident and were all transported to Milford Bayhealth Hospital. They were all treated and later released. Lewis was arraigned and released on $10,000.00 unsecured bond.
