Chick-Fil-A Set To Open Sept 10

4Milford’s first Chick-fil-A restaurant will officially open Wednesday, September 10, bringing more than 80 new jobs and the chance for 100 adults to win free Chick-fil-A meals for a year. The new Milford restaurant, located at 698 North Dupont Blvd., will award a total of $30,000 in free food to the first 100 eligible adults in line when the doors open at 6 pm on September 10. The new Chick-fil-A on North Dupont Blvd. is one of 93 new restaurants the chain plans to open across the country in 2014, creating more than 7,000 new jobs.

Owner and operator of the Milford Chick-Fil-A Chris Hobert has been training with the corporate offices as he prepares to open his first business. A South Jersey native, Hobert’s family owned a hardware business when he was young where he spent many hours working and knew that one day he wanted to own his own business. While fulfilling his dream of serving as a Navy SEAL, Hobert began researching business opportunities and determined Chick-fil-A was the best fit for him. Still serving in the Navy Reserves, Hobert, his wife Amy and their two children are looking forward to meeting and serving the Milford community.

“Personalized customer service and freshly prepared food have been the hallmarks of Chick-fil-A since the day Truett opened his first restaurant,” said Hobert. “My team members and I are committed to those same ideals as we welcome our guests to our new Milford restaurant and provide them with a remarkable experience.”

In that spirit of partnering with local individuals and organizations that work to enrich education, literacy and youth, Hobert is collecting unused children’s books at the new restaurant Wednesday, September 10 beginning at 6 am until Friday, September 12 at 2 pm. Anyone who donates at least one new book will receive a coupon for a free Chick-fil-A entrée. Those waiting in line for the opening will also be engaged in the book drive with the top collector receiving an additional prize. The Greater Milford Boys and Girls Club, a non-profit organization dedicated to enabling young people to reach their full potential in life, has been selected by Hobert to receive the nearly three-foot-high Book House. The new books collected during the grand opening celebration will be placed in the Book House to serve as a free library exchange, allowing anyone to take a book after replacing it with one of their own.

“Chick-fil-A believes in partnering with individuals and organizations that work to enrich education, literacy and youth.,” stated Hobert. “The Book House will serve as a free library exchange encouraging literacy and education for the children of the Boys and Girls Club.”

Featuring the chain’s newest interior and kitchen design, the new location has seating for 106 inside with patio seating available as well as an indoor playground. The restaurant includes dual drive-thru ordering lanes which will expand its award-winning drive-thru service. It enables motorists to place their orders at separate screens and merge into a single lane to pay for and pick up food. In addition to the new specialty-grade coffee, the company is testing out new breakfast menu entrees in five states including Delaware. For a limited time, customers can choose from six new breakfast entrees ranging from the Egg White Chicken Grill, Greek Yogurt Parfait, Multigrain Oatmeal, Chicken & Waffle, and Cinnamon Swirls.

The new Milford restaurant at 698 North Dupont Blvd. will host the next First 100 event that will award a total of $30,000 in free food to the first 100 eligible adults, ages 18 and older with identification, in line when the doors open at 6 pm on Wednesday, September 10. Unlike traditional 24-hour First 100 Chick-fil-A grand opening events, the line in Milford will open at 6am, Wednesday, September 10, with the digital offer cards being awarded that same day, around 6 pm. The restaurant will open for business immediately following the awarding of the prizes.
