Appoquinimink 9, Conrad 0

Evan Bouldin pitched a complete game, 3 hit shutout for Appo. Appo was led offensively by Keegan Miller who had 2 hits and 3 RBI’s. Lorezno Carrier added 2 hits of his own for the Jags. Michael Spadea had 2 hits for Conrad.

Delaware Military (DMA) 9, Dover 2

DMA’s Kevin Williams and Zack Morris both homered for the Seahawks.  Mason Deluca and Drew Simpson both had multiple hits.  Dover’s Leondre Brittingham homered for the Senators.

Caravel 8, St Georges 6

Ryan Lester pitched six strong innings allowing 4 runs with 5 strike outs to earn the win.  Caravel took lead on Jared Hoffman’s bases loaded double in the 2nd inning.  Hoffman finished with a hit and 4 RBI’s.  Miguel Herb went 2-3 with 2 RBI’s and Kaden Bredickas finished 1-2 with 2 RBI’s.  St. Georges fought hard to the last pitch scoring 4 runs in the 7th and had the tying run at the plate to end it.  Andrew Arterbridge was 2-4 with 2 RBI’s, Michael Breen was 2-4, Campbell Stark was 3-4, and Zachary Hart was 3-3 with a double and 2 RBI’s.

Smyrna 13, Sussex Central 7

Smyrna defeats Sussex Central 13-7. Smyrna’s Shawn Mannering threw a solid 6 innings, scattered 7 hits, and surrendered 4 runs. Smyrna Eagles collected 15 hits, Drummond, Connor Wilson, Strauss, and Macey all managed multiple hits for Smyrna Eagles.  Drummond went 4-for-5 at the plate to lead Smyrna Eagles in hits.
Sussex Central tallied ten hits in the game led by Steen and Boyle as both had multiple hits for Central.

Tower Hill 9, Lake Forest 5

Tower Hill used a 7 run 4th inning to move onto the quarter finals.  Chad Lopes improved to 7-0 on the season, working into the 5th inning.  Kenyon Motley came in in relief going 2 1/3 giving up one hit.  Lake Forest was led by Gabe Martin who went 3-4 .  Chase Killen, Tristan McRay, Adam Schiff and Leighton Webb all had two hits each.

Salesianum 6, Cape Henlopen 1

The game was a pitchers duel for the first five innings; Both starting pitchers, freshman Gage Joseph for Cape Henlopen and Zach Czarnecki for Salesianum each allowed only one run on three hits.  Czarnecki went on to chalk up a complete game allowing no further runs.  With a runner on second in the bottom of the 5th, Ben Venema scorched a line drive to right field to put Salesianum on the board tying the game at one apiece.  Salesianum right fielder, Conor Campbell, reached base on all three plate appearances, including a double.  He earned an RBI and a run scored.  Pinch hitting for Salesianum with runners on second and third, Quinn Bartkowski had a base knock to left field, resulting in 2 RBIs.  Joshua Reinhold and Timothy Hitchcock both went 2 for 3 for Cape Henlopen.

St Mark’s 2, Indian River 1

Dan Keane tripled in the bottom of 7th with 1 out.  Garrett Quinn stepped to the plate and hit a line drive to left for a single to knock in Keane for the win.  Derek Bellamere and Ben Cordrey had multiple hits for Indian River.

Sussex Tech 5, Middletown 0

Cody Dimes earned the win, allowing 3 hits while recording 9Ks over 6.1 innings of work for Tech.  The Ravens were led offensively by Ellingsworth 2 for 4, Stokley 3 for 3, Dimes 2 for 3 with 2RBI’s and Shockley added a hit with 2RBI’s. Middletown’s Connor Wooten had two hits for the Cavaliers.
