The 42nd annual Blue Gold All-star game will be played Wednesday night at Red Lion Christian Academy.
The game features nearly 40 seniors from around the state, with nearly half of those players being honored on the All-State teams. Festivities begin around 5:30 with a set of skill competitions. The game is scheduled to start at 6:45.
The Gold team is coached by Skye Boris from Caesar Rodney, Tom Lundy of Christiana, Tom Pritchard from William Penn, and Eileen Voltz of Charter School of Wilmington. The team members represent 13 schools from Woodbridge north to Padua. Unlike the football All Star game, there are no geographic boundaries used to determine the two teams.
The Blue squad consists of players from 15 different schools from Concord down to Indian River. Blue team coaches are Kyle Taylor of Polytech, Mike Oberly from Brandywine, Tim Wampler of St George’s, and Jourdan Zickgraf of McKean.
